Circulon is a popular cookware brand which has been around since the very early 1980s.
The Circulon mission (lead by the founder, engineer Stanley Cheng) was to perfect hard-anodized cookware, making it easy to clean and durable, as well as making the best, most long-lasting non-stick surfaces.
Skip a few decades ahead, and Circulon has an incredibly wide range of cookware options, from sets to individual pieces. They’re a trusted brand with a great track record of happy customers and successful non-stick home cooking.
But the problem is…there are so many collections to choose from it can be tiresome to wade through all the information to find the differences and similarities. To save you some time, we’ve compared three great Circulon cookware collections: Symmetry, Momentum and Premier Professional.
Without further ado, let’s study and compare these 3 great cookware collections from Circulon…

The Symmetry collection by Circulon is arguably of a higher design standard than other Circulon collections.
This is indicated by the fact that it is more expensive, and it offers a couple more features which other collections (i.e. Momentum) don’t offer. One of these features is induction compatibility. The Symmetry collection is suitable for all stovetop types.
The Symmetry collection has the TOTAL(r) Nonstick System (raised circles) and a triple layer of non-stick coating. This is a more advanced cooking surface than the Momentum (which has the raised circles but doesn’t have the 3 layers of non-stick coating, it has a simpler coating instead).
The Symmetry collection is rather vast, with individual pieces and sets…
From the Symmetry collection you can find:
- The Weeknight Cookware set 4-piece with utensils
- 9-piece and 11-piece sets
- 5-quart covered saucepan
- 5-quart covered casserole

- 7-quart covered Dutch oven
- 5-quart casserole with strainer lid
- Skillets (8.5, 10, 11, 12 inches)

Price?
The Symmetry collection is more expensive than the Momentum collection, but it’s still extremely reasonable, especially the larger sets.
Verdict?
The Circulon Symmetry collection has an awesome non-stick surface fortified with 3 layers and enhanced by the raised concentric circles authentic to Circulon. We love the color options, the induction compatibility, oven suitability and the cool-touch handles.
Circulon Momentum
The Momentum collection is a comprehensive collection with a wide range of individual items and 5 cookware sets. One thing to note is that the Momentum collection includes stainless steel sets, not just hard-anodized aluminum.
Another important aspect to note is that the Momentum collection is not induction compatible, it’s only suitable for use with electric, gas and glass-ceramic stovetops.
From the Momentum collection you can find:
- Various 11-piece sets (some include utensils, some include bonus saucepans)
- 5-quart covered Dutch oven

The Circulon Momentum range is more affordable than the Symmetry range. It’s a great choice for a budget-friendly set.
Verdict?
The Momentum range offers some fantastic options for cost-effectiveness. It has the key features we want, such as oven safety, dishwasher safety, glass lids, PFOA-free materials, and a non-stick surface.
One thing to note is that the Momentum range doesn’t have the stainless steel bases which the Symmetry and Premier Professional ranges have. This could partly explain the cheaper price.
Circulon Premier Professional
The Circulon Premier Professional range seems to be a little more hard to come by than the Momentum and Symmetry collections. The Circulon Premier Professional range is suitable for all stoves including induction.
From the Premier Professional collection you can find:
- 13-piece cookware set with stainless steel bottoms
- Milk pan
- 8-piece and 5-piece cookware sets
- Twin frying pan set
- Covered saute pan
- Covered stockpot
- Skillets, various sizes
- Saucepans, various sizes
- Saucepan set
Key features across the Premier Professional range:
- Tempered glass lids
- Compatible with all cooktops including induction
- Oven safe up to 400 degrees F
- Dishwasher safe
- PFOA-free
- Hard-anodized aluminum
- TOTAL Food Release system (raised circles)
- Triple-layer of non-stick coating
- Stainless steel bottoms
- Silicone-coated stainless steel handles
- Lifetime warranty
Color options:
Black, chocolate bronze
Price?
The Premier Professional range is more expensive than both the Symmetry and the Momentum ranges. It’s more toward the mid-high price range.
Verdict?
The Premier Professional range is more expensive than the Momentum and Symmetry, but it’s very similar to the Symmetry range in terms of handles, non-stick coating tech, glass lids and stainless steel bottoms.
The drawback is that it’s harder to source than the other two collections.
Which one to choose?
These three Circulon collections are all great for their own reasons, so instead of telling you which to buy, here are some questions and pointers to consider:
- If you have an induction cooktop, the Momentum range is immediately out of the running, but the Symmetry and Premier Professional ranges will work
- If your budget is on the low side, the Momentum range is the best of the 3
- If you fancy some utensils thrown in with your cookware set, check out Symmetry
- For the most unique colors, Symmetry is the collection to start with
- All three collections are oven-safe, dishwasher-safe, have glass lids and cool-touch handles
- For a stainless steel cookware set, look at the Momentum range
- All three harness the long-wearing, durable, scratch-free, heat conductive benefits of hard-anodized aluminum
- All three sets have non-stick coatings but the Momentum coating is a little less sophisticated than the Symmetry and Premier Professional
- All three sets come with a lifetime warranty
Good luck with your choice!
